An interest in writing began in high school with the encouragement of a teacher, which led me to an interest in journalism and ultimately a degree in mass communications.

While in school and raising a family, I taught myself HTML and all e-publishing entails. I now maintain the websites of non-profits such as Central Florida's
LE-AD and two chapters of Air & Waste Mngmt Assn.

Having freelanced since 2006, I've published nearly 200 articles in several publications. Most of my professional skills were developed while working for a New York Times company, the News Chief, where I was co-editor of the East Polk Lifestyles Magazine.
